Lead exposure and poisoning remains a serious environmental health hazard, especially for low income families. Head Start programs must ensure all Head Start children are screened for lead content levels. Our program will provide various activities throughout the school year to promote awareness and offer on-site lead screening tests to those in need.
National Lead Awareness week is October 25 - 31, 2015. All Head Start classrooms will engage in interactive, child-friendly activities. We encourage all of our families to join in on the fun!
