The Treatment Advocacy Center is a national, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization working to eliminate barriers to treatment of severe mental illness. TAC acts as a resource to consumers, family members, lawmakers, attorneys, and other legal and medical professionals. In addition to their excellent news coverage of mental health advocacy and legal issues, there are many unique and important resources for families with severely mentally ill members - such as a free searchable database of attorneys experienced in committment law. An excellent site that we've granted our highest rating.
